In 1961, Sue worked as a secretary in London. She enjoyed it but then she missed her countryside where she spent most of the time as a child. She offered working in a farm or in a organic farm program organazied nearby at college. She worked as weekend activity. She got afew people to volunteer to do housework like cleaning bushes or drains. Afterwards, she wrote an ad to the magazine offered volunteering organic farm. Soon after the number of the volunteer increaseed quickly. Afew original volunteers started WWOOF. This organization is a weekend activity for someone but it welcome visitors and travelers who wish to live and work on farms more long period of time. By working on farms, the volunteers can interact with farmers and visit new cultures and new countries. Every WWOOF is different in countries. There are at least 50 WWOOF appourtunity organizations in the world.
